Academics : Senior Secondary

The school follows integrated and interlinked curriculum framed on the guidelines provided by the Central Board of Secondary Education for the holistic development of child’s personality.
At this level students are offered to choose from two different streams – Science (Medical & Non-Medical) and Commerce.


The right choice of stream and the decision to opt for the subjects suiting a student’s aptitude and interest at the Senior Secondary level enable him/her to have brighter prospects in future. At this juncture, we seek parents cooperation and understanding to help the students to choose the right subjects after careful thought and ddeliberation. A list of subjects offered under the different streams is given below :

 

SCHEME OF STUDIES

Medical Stream
Compulsory Subjects : English Core, Physics, Chemistry, Biology
Optional Subject : Physical Education or Fine Art (Painting)

Non Medical Stream
Compulsory Subjects : English Core, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
Optional Subject : Physical Education or Fine Art (Painting)

Commerce Stream
Compulsory Subjects : English Core, Accountancy, Business Studies
Optional Subject (Select Any Two) :

  • Mathematics or Economics
  • Sanskrit Core / Physical Education / Fine Art (Painting)

ASSESMENT AND EVALUATION
The academic year is divided into two terms. The first term is from April to September and the second term is from October to March. Each term has Unit Test and a Term Exam.

Please Note :

  • Each Term has one cycle of Unit Test of 1.5 Hours of duration and conducted on every Monday.
  • At the end of the First Term Mid-Term Examination is conducted.
  • Annual Examination is cumulative in nature and is based on the entire syllabus for the session.
  • A comprehensive assessment report card in the form of marks, grades and remarks are issued in the end of each term uprising the parents about the child’s performance.
  • Students absent at an examination for any reason will not be re-examined.
